A Move Back to BT &
Maintenance
Christy UK Ltd
Christy UK, a national towel manufacturer and high-street
retailer with many sites throughout the UK had a high
call volume and spend. As an NTL customer they were
unable to take advantage of any call routing and subsequent
savings on these costs.
Whilst they were keen to cut their expenditure, they
were also concerned about the potential upheaval and
cost implications of a move back to BT. After careful
planning and discussions with BT, their Least Cost Telecom
Account Manager managed to move them back to BT without
incurring charges and with no disruption to the business.
In financial terms, they benefited from a saving of
over £3k. Once the committed call spend was met
they were able to take advantage of the further savings
LCT had to offer and they are now saving 60% in comparison
to their original spend with NTL. Low cost business
calls really made the difference. An ongoing relationship
has developed, with Christy’s regularly receiving
free advice on their infrastructure and assistance in
liaising with BT regarding new shop openings and subsequent
line installations. Least Cost Telecom has become a
trusted partner and has also recently taken over all
Christy’s telecom maintenance.
Saving Money
Citizens Advice Bureau
After budget cuts, the Citizens Advice Bureau was looking
for ways to save money on the running costs of their
two busy Liverpool offices. As an existing Telewest
Centrex customer they were unable to consider call routing
until Least Cost Telecom engineered a free move back
to BT for them, saving them £1,500. After the
committed call spend period they are now making cheap
phone calls and saving in the region of 35% on calls.
Saving Money – Regular Reviews
Connections Employment Agency
This large national employment agency has three sites
in the Manchester area and had been using a reseller
to manage their telecoms expenditure for some time.
However, due to poor account management, tariffs had
not been reviewed for several years and savings were
not being maximized. Initially the company was reluctant
to consider a move as they were tied in to their existing
supplier, but after detailed talks with Least Cost Telecom
about low cost calls, realized the potential savings
that could be made. When the contract term was up, they
transferred to Least Cost Telecom and through regular
reviews have taken full advantage of the reduced costs
offered.
Multi-site move - ISDN, broadband, VoIP & new system
Comfy Quilts Ltd
Comfy Quilts is a large bedding manufacturer with sites
in the UK and Europe who were considering a multi-site
move that included ISDN, broadband, Voice over IP, a
new system and all call traffic. Their busy IT department
was looking for a new provider who was capable of the
seamless handling of all these telecoms needs for both
the move and future business including company acquisitions
and mergers. Having spoken with several companies, they
felt it was Least Cost Telecom that not only had the
technical capabilities but also the account handling
experience to become their partner. After a successful
move and new system installation, Least Cost Telecom
regularly provides advice and solutions to ongoing in-house
developments.
BT tied-in commitment too big
Bennet Verby Accountants
Bennett Verby are one of the North West’s largest
accountancy firms. Unfortunately they found themselves
in the position where a mis-sold BT commitment contract
had them tied in and were facing a bill of £2,500.
With seemingly no way out of this, Least Cost Telecom
took over liaison with BT and managed to secure their
release from the contract with no further charges. Not
only did they save the forecast £2,500 but by
then transferring calls to Least Cost Telecom they were
able to enjoy further cost savings on their ongoing
telecoms expenditure. Now they benefit from low cost
phone calls and smaller bills.
Minimum call spend BT
The Fact Centre - Liverpool
This tourist attraction in Liverpool has an average
monthly call spend and was looking to cut costs where
possible. Although they considered themselves happy
with their existing provider, to whom they were tied
in, once they realized the potential savings they could
make by being able to make cheap phone calls they decided
to make a change. Now with all call traffic and spend
handled by Least Cost Telecom their call costs have
dropped by over 30%. They are so happy with the savings
and service they have received they are now reviewing
their broadband and system maintenance contracts with
a view to changing these over to Least Cost Telecom
also.
Mitchells Of Lancaster
Mitchells of Lancaster are an award-winning
family run business, comprising of 7 hotels and 55 public
houses within the Lancaster and Cumbria area.
Their previous provider had become complacent and the
overall support, with the constant change of account
manager, had gradually dropped off with no real point
of contact. Over the 3 years with this company, there
had been only one tariff review meaning that Mitchells
were paying far more than they should have been for
all of their telecommunication requirements.
With constant expansion, they required a company who
was able to service all of their needs to incorporate
calls, line rentals and broadband. Moving across to
Least Cost Telecom was a seamless affair with no disruption
or change to any of the existing services.
We were able to not only save Mitchells over 30% on
their calls and lines, but were able to offer them double
the bandwidth on their broadband for no more than they
had been paying. With one main point of contact, we
work closely with Mitchells ensuring enquiries are dealt
with quickly and efficiently thus offering the peace
of mind and reassurance an organization of this caliber
warrants.
As a result of the excellent service received, Mitchells
have passed a complete list of their suppliers to Least
Cost Telecom, incorporating breweries and other national
companies, with their full backing and endorsement so
that they too can take full advantage of what the team
here have to offer.
